Hi and welcome to my online home! I am a photographer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm married to my wonderful hubby, Jon, and we have 7 fur babies: Kitty Amazing, Baby Kitty, Petunia, and China, our cats, Hank and Seymour, our dogs, and Junichiro, our hedgehog. Admittedly, Junichiro is more of a spiky baby than a fur baby. I love travel, nutella, donuts, cupcakes, (okay just bring me all the carbs alright?), reading, green tea, soccer, dancing, and soft pillow cases. I love having you, I hope you stay awhile.
Terrin and Andrew got married on a cool, cloudy day with just a hint of the hot Seattle summer that had been lingering for the last few weeks. The couple got ready amidst towering trees overlooking the hood canal at Kitsap Memorial State Park in Poulsbo, Washington, with quaint log cabins peppering the landscape. I felt almost like Little Red Riding Hood as she skipped off into the woods. Except luckily I didn’t see any wolves… except one adorable doggo named Boo.
The couple exchanged vows deep in the forest feeling like a fairy tale. Andrew’s vows told the mythology of man and woman being too powerful together so they were separated and wandered until they found who they were once whole with (okay I’m probably summarizing that poorly, but it was a beautiful rendition of this idea- I’ll leave it to Andrew to tell ;). But the sentiment was so incredible.
How they met is also a great story because Andrew was working with Terrin, Terrin’s Father, AND Andrew’s Father. I loved Terrin’s Father’s retelling of this story during toasts as Terrin approached her father carefully inquiring his thoughts if Terrin maybe was to want to date Andrew. Well, it was obviously a good call because these two are perfect together, and are finally tying the knot 7 years later. The way they laugh, support each other, and complete one another. The way they push each other to achieve their dreams. And they are so fun to be around. They are easy going people who love to have fun with those around them. Just wait until you scroll down to see the endless laughter, smiles, and joy on their faces. I loved hanging with them over the last year!
Everything about their day was perfect. From the easy going start to the day, to the personalized vows, to the beautiful forest setting, to the wonderful people that came to love and support them – to me that’s what wedding days are all about. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the flowers because they were everrryyythinnggg. But that happens when your family sells flowers in the sort of well known place for all the best flowers called Pikes Market. Heard of it? 😉
I love your hearts for one another, and thank you for bringing me in to be a part of it! I can’t wait to see where these next years take you two, as the power you create together as one unit will be unstoppable I know.
