Hi and welcome to my online home! I am a photographer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm married to my wonderful hubby, Jon, and we have 7 fur babies: Kitty Amazing, Baby Kitty, Petunia, and China, our cats, Hank and Seymour, our dogs, and Junichiro, our hedgehog. Admittedly, Junichiro is more of a spiky baby than a fur baby. I love travel, nutella, donuts, cupcakes, (okay just bring me all the carbs alright?), reading, green tea, soccer, dancing, and soft pillow cases. I love having you, I hope you stay awhile.
Mt. Rainier was looming straight ahead of me. And as I continued down country roads for almost 10 miles, I felt like I was heading right for the summit.
I was driving amidst fields with cows grazing and vineyards. And all of sudden, I was at Mountain View Manor. The venue is a classic Pacific Northwest Chateau with a lush backyard, country fields, and Mt. Rainier in their backyard. I knew this was going to be a gorgeous day.
Cassidy and Anthony met 5 years ago at Washington State University when Anthony approached Cassidy in a bar. At the time, neither knew they were meeting their soul mate, their one and only.
His proposal to Cassidy also shows his character and love for his bride to be as Anthony some how got permission from the current owners of Cassidy’s Grandparents former residence to take Cassidy there. This lake house is a spot that is near and dear to Cassidy’s heart, which Anthony knew, so he took her there on a surprise date. Anthony had a picnic set up, and Cassidy’s parents and grandparents were there. It was then that he got down on one knee and proposed. Anthony even arranged for a photographer to capture the entire thing! (such a good move!) To top everything off, the couples friends and family were waiting at their house when they got home to celebrate the newly engaged couple.
After that, you knew the wedding was going to be good. And it was. My favorite part of the entire wedding was when Cassidy had both her biological dad and her step-dad walk her down the aisle and give her away. Seriously, that just brought me so much joy. And to top it off, she had a father-daughter dance with both of them too. What an amazing way to honor them both. Because the more love you are surrounded by, the better! Then not only did Anthony’s mom dance with Anthony, but Cassidy danced with her mom as well.
I think I identified so much with this because both of my parents walked me down the aisle because my mom didn’t want to be left out LOL There is no right or wrong way to have your wedding as long as it brings you joy and honors those who helped you get to that moment! So you do you!!
My second favorite part of the wedding was how elegant everything was. Cassidy and Anthony chose champagne and black as their colors. The details were to die for. From the perfect gold ring box, to Anthony’s gold and brocade suit lapels to the hanging chandeliers-it was fit for royals. And I can’t forget to mention that as guests made their way to the reception they were greeted with champagne. Now that is my kind of wedding!
Just when you thought the night could not get any more elegant, Cassidy slipped into the most divine champagne colored slip dress prior to the garter and bouquet toss. And I seriously die over this dress. It was everyythinnggg.
I loved everything about their wedding day. From the emotion to the glowing portraits in front of Mt. Rainier, it was a dream day.
