Welcome,
To the blog

Hey there! I'm Felicia! I'm a luxury wedding photographer, pet momma, wife, and cupcake addict.  I photograph in Arizona, Washington and Worldwide. I would love to chat and get to know you better!

April 18, 2018

Hi and welcome to my online home! I am a photographer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm married to my wonderful hubby, Jon, and we have 7 fur babies: Kitty Amazing, Baby Kitty, Petunia, and China, our cats, Hank and Seymour, our dogs, and Junichiro, our hedgehog. Admittedly, Junichiro is more of a spiky baby than a fur baby. I love travel, nutella, donuts, cupcakes, (okay just bring me all the carbs alright?), reading, green tea, soccer, dancing, and soft pillow cases. I love having you, I hope you stay awhile.

The Farmhouse Flower Company Styled Wedding Shoot, Puyallup, Wa

They say that everything you want is right outside your comfort zone. And towards that end, I decided to put on a styled wedding shoot for some photographer friends of mine. I am big on community over competition. That there is enough work out there for all of us. And if we lift each other up, we all rise together. So being a wedding photographer myself, I wanted to give an opportunity for some photographer friends of mine to be creative, have fun, and try out new techniques in a fun and criticism free environment. I was so blessed to be able to do this for them! But, I certainly couldn’t have done it without the help of some truly amazing people, who I am so proud to know and call my friends.

Kait Shaw, of Kait Shaw Photography, stepped in and really helped me pull this off, by connecting me to the fabulous venue and finding two beautiful models who happen to be her great friends! She has been such a support for me during this process, and something I have learned is that its important to surround yourself with other positive people who can celebrate with you and also help you through those hard times.

And on that note, I am so glad Kait found Amy, owner of the Farmhouse Flower Company, and connected me to her. Amy and her husband are so fabulous, and their venue is absolutely gorgeous!! Not only is their wedding venue everything dreams are made out of with Magnolia trees, an orchard, and old rustic farmhouse, and vintage trailers, but these two truly love to serve others. Amy also provides florals for her couples getting married on site, and let me tell you people, she is talented!! She designed a large bouquet (with the light purple) and also the center table scape.  She also designed the flowers on the smaller, naked cake (as us industry people refer to it LOL).

Next, you all need to check out Southern Charm Wedding Boutique in Silverdale, Wa. The dresses and veils in their are to die for. They are so unique, you won’t see anything like them in other stores. I pretty much was swooning so hard the entire time I was in there. But on top of that, the owner, Jess, is so kind, has a great vision for brides, and has a fabulous southern accent which I love of course 🙂

I could not have pulled together this vision without an amazing makeup and hair stylist duo. Marqui of Marqui Artistry did all the makeup on the models Brittany, Amanda, Brittney, and Epiphan. David Gerard completed the hair on all these models. And they are such a dynamic duo. We laughed throughout the entire shoot and I was completely rewarded for trusting them with my vision. You definitely need to check them out next time you need to get gussied up!

Some other amazing vendors were kind enough to share their talent with us and the world!

Jordan Moll is an amazing florist, and created the to die for orange and white bouquet. She also helped create the table scape.

Sound Blooms created the lovely flower crown (which every bride, mother, person on the street, needs in my humble opinion!), and the bouquet with bright purple flowers.

Cakes by Kramp is owned by one of our own beautiful models Brittany Kramp! She is the one in the strapless gown 🙂 She created the three tiered lavender drip cake with green macaroons. And can you believe this girl was nervous to model?! She’s a natural am I right?

The other amazing models were Jen Castro (lovely with the dot veil and black braided hair), Amanda Sanders (adorable woman in the poofy white dress and tiered veil), and Brittney Franco (beauty in the dusty rose pink dress). And can’t forget our handsome and dynamic groom, Epiphan Yeung!

And last, but never least, my own dear friend Courtney McKinnon designed the invitation suite and table number card. If you have invitation needs, you need to check her out!!

Links to all these amazing people will be at the bottom of the post 🙂

I am so excited to see all the images from all the photographers that participated, and it is an honor to be part of a group with such love and positive energy for those around them. Thanks guys for being who you are!!
