Hi and welcome to my online home! I am a photographer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm married to my wonderful hubby, Jon, and we have 7 fur babies: Kitty Amazing, Baby Kitty, Petunia, and China, our cats, Hank and Seymour, our dogs, and Junichiro, our hedgehog. Admittedly, Junichiro is more of a spiky baby than a fur baby. I love travel, nutella, donuts, cupcakes, (okay just bring me all the carbs alright?), reading, green tea, soccer, dancing, and soft pillow cases. I love having you, I hope you stay awhile.
As I drove up the mountain towards Sky Ranch Lodge in Sedona, Arizona, I was so giddy. The kind of giddy where you know something magical awaits you. And as I got to the top of that mountain and arrived at the venue, I knew this wedding was going to be everything. Because let me tell you about the view; the view of not only the red rocks, but of the entire valley of Sedona. Now that’s a ceremony site. And in Bryan’s words, after he saw the venue he did not care what it took, he was going to marry Caleah with that view.
Watching Bryan and Caleah together, you can tell they are best friends. And they complete each other in that way that they bring out the best in each other. Bryan absolutely beamed with pride throughout the day and all our portraits. You can tell he is proud that Caleah is his person, and he is proud to show everyone how beautiful and amazing she is. His tears when he saw Caleah for the first time said it all. And as Caleah smiled back at him, you knew these two had found the one their soul loves.
The ceremony was especially memorable because it was also Bryan and Caleah’s 3 year anniversary! With all their family and friends surrounding them, they said “I do,” in their own way with their own vows. Caleah’s twin brother walked her down the aisle looking sharp in a blue suit (and when I told him as much, he told me that Chris Brown thought the same thing when he wore the suit, which had me dying laughing). Even more special was Caleah’s Grandmother acting as officiant and leading the ceremony, and Caleah’s Mother reading a poem. I love when family members act as officiant’s because they truly know who you are, what your relationship is all about, and the struggles and joys you’ve gone through not only to find your other half, but during your relationship as well.
After the ceremony however, it was time for food. And by food, I mean meat. And by meat, I mean, holy bbq delicious smelling endless meat. So catch me over by the ribs if you can’t find me LOL.
Then Caleah and Bryan had a surprise for everyone for their first dance as they had learned salsa and wowed us all with some amazing moves including twirls, salsa stepping, and all around amazingness.
You guys are such a lovely couple, and I enjoyed capturing your perfect day so much! I wish you endless years of laughter, sillyness, salsa dancing, and love.
