“If I never knew you, If I never felt this love, I would have no inkling of how precious life can be.
And if I never held you, I would never have a clue, how at last I’d find in you the missing part of me.” -Pocahontas
Courtney and Josh were married exactly as they’d always dreamed. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, dressed elegantly as Cinderella and Prince Charming.
This couple shared a passion for the theatre, musicals, and all things Disney. They met two years ago participating in Rocky Horror Picture Show. They met during the Hot Patootie number when Courtney was playing Columbia and Josh was Eddie. Josh was also directing the event.
The ceremony took place at a Dragon Fly Cinema in Port Orchard, a place where the couple has performed and that is close to their heart. During Josh’s vows, he spoke of how he thought he’d never find a love like theirs; one where not only does the other person wholly except them, but shares a passion for the same things. Courtney spoke about how Josh has always put her and their sweet son first, and treated her endlessly like she was a real princess.
Now their passion is centered around their precious baby boy, who was dressed as Micky Mouse and looked ridiculously adorable! The bridesmaids were each wearing an apron over a lace dress symbolizing a Disney princess. And then there was Courtney’s flowing Vera Wang gown, which would have made Cinderella jealous. I was in love!
During the reception at Kitsap Conference Center in Bremerton, Wa, all of the couples friends spoke about how they made them feel so included and gave them a unique family of their own where they could flourish and be themselves. I think that really speaks to the kind of people Courtney and Josh are. The kind of people that are welcoming, accepting, and loving.
The couple danced the night away and when you’re at a reception filled with theatre people you know there is going to be coordinated dancing, epic lifts, and singing. It was perfect guys.
And they lived happily. ever. after. 😉
