Hi and welcome to my online home! I am a photographer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm married to my wonderful hubby, Jon, and we have 7 fur babies: Kitty Amazing, Baby Kitty, Petunia, and China, our cats, Hank and Seymour, our dogs, and Junichiro, our hedgehog. Admittedly, Junichiro is more of a spiky baby than a fur baby. I love travel, nutella, donuts, cupcakes, (okay just bring me all the carbs alright?), reading, green tea, soccer, dancing, and soft pillow cases. I love having you, I hope you stay awhile.
I am obsessed with all the things from this wedding. Beautiful venue (Anderson School in Bothell). Gorgeous flowers with silk ribbon. A fierce, fabulous couple wearing not only a sleek blue suit and patterned tie, but my all time hands down favorite dress by Willowby. The kind of dress that sometimes when no one is looking, I may or may not wear around my house because why wouldn’t I? And then there was the watercolor painted cake, and the most adorable, delicious looking mini pies. I was seriously in photographer heaven.
But even better than all these details was how much fun I had with Brandon and Morgan. They are my kind of people, first with Morgan’s Instagram professed love of bacon, and then with how they let me try out new poses and wander all over the property. Come model for me anytime guys!
None of this is a surprise as these two met working together at Nordstrom. And since my dad often suggested Nordstrom should start paying me and my mom for how much time we spent there, it was a perfect fit. But the people at their wedding were beautiful inside and out, and I had so many wonderful conversations with Morgan and Brandon’s parents and friends.
After nearly 7 years ago, this wedding was a long time in the making, and the loved ones who surrounded Morgan and Brandon were so excited to see these two make it marriage official. And I absolutely love how Morgan describes Brandon’s proposal: “He took me on a trip to Silverdale to stay in his family cabin on the water. He asked me to come walk the dogs with him in the pouring rain. I was ahead of him and he yelled my name.. I turned around and looked at my feet thinking he was yelling at me not to step in poo. I looked up and he was lunged up with the ring. I was trying ot put the ring on and the dogs were running around us and tying us up with the leashes. It was hotness and perfect.” Yaaasss girl! This. is. everything. Because in my book, proposals like this that are unexpected, crazy, soaking wet, and dogs going nuts are a perfect synopsis of your amazing and sometimes chaotic life together. Because the perfection of life is in the imperfection that we share with our mate.
Their vows totally reflected this as well, with Morgan’s brother, Delbert, officiating. Delbert started with Brandon by asking him these important questions: Will he promise not to open the door while Morgan is going to the bathroom? Will he agree to dress up as Blanche and reenact her favorite scenes? (I particularly loved this one because my husband is obsessed with the Golden Girls, so I think this would have been his question to me lol). Delbert then looked at Morgan and asked the following: Will she try Brandon’s beer and strange flavored sauerkraut creations and put up with him changing from talk radio to heavy metal to John Mayer in one car trip? And after they agreed to (most) of these provisions, Delbert announced the happy marriage and combination of two of the largest closets in existence. I’m dying!! Best. vows. ever.
It was amazing to capture your day and get to know you both. You are amazing people and I love your love story. So next time you are in Silverdale, holler at your girl!!
