Hi and welcome to my online home! I am a photographer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm married to my wonderful hubby, Jon, and we have 7 fur babies: Kitty Amazing, Baby Kitty, Petunia, and China, our cats, Hank and Seymour, our dogs, and Junichiro, our hedgehog. Admittedly, Junichiro is more of a spiky baby than a fur baby. I love travel, nutella, donuts, cupcakes, (okay just bring me all the carbs alright?), reading, green tea, soccer, dancing, and soft pillow cases. I love having you, I hope you stay awhile.
“I never thought I’d find someone whose weirdness fit my weirdness perfectly.”
I totally identify with this, don’t you?! Because we all have our crazy quirks (like how I have 7 pets, and love watching shows like 90 Day Fiance and My 600 pound life), and really, our perfect mate is that person that is our kind of weird. The one that will allow us to keep collecting animals and that will eat cake with us while binge watching TLC shows. Well, I am certain that Erika and Killian found that fabulous, weird, crazy, amazing love in each other.
The day could not have started off any better either. Erika looked at me as I walked in and said, “I was stalking your website, and I read your blog post on your cruise with the Backstreet Boys. I sent it to my maid of honor. We were screaming, and I was like, I knew I picked the right photographer!” It turns out this was extra special because Killian bought Erika killer seats to see the Backstreet Boys in Las Vegas this year, and as Killian put it, “Seeing Erika so happy and excited is worth even that amount of money.” And you could see on Killian’s love filled face throughout the day that he meant it.
Now that is my kind of bride, and exactly how I want to start my day! Yasssss BSB.
I was absolutely loving Erika and Killian’s wedding vibes as their flowers and colors were that perfect mix between vintage, modern, and Alice in Wonderland. They even walked down the aisle to an orchestra playing Disney Songs (which of course I hummed every word to in my head!).
But more than anything, I could not get enough of the laughter these two shared together on their special day.
During Killian’s speech, he detailed how he was basically in love with Erika before three years before anything happened. He even told someone he was going to marry her!
These two met student teaching working with young children. These two spent so much time together over the years just enjoying each others friendship, that people started to spread rumors that they were a couple. This led Erika to one day getting up the courage to ask Kilian, “Would it be so bad if we were a couple??” I’m holding my breath loving the suspense as I learn this story! It’s like a romance novel!! And Killian responded, No I don’t think so. I think we’d have a lot of fun.” And people, believe me, they do have fun together!
There were so many special moments that made their day perfect. During the ceremony, the couple honored both their moms with a pink rose to thank them for their love and guidance throughout their lives. Then, Erika and her dad started out slow dancing, but merged into numerous popular dances throughout the decades. And they totally nailed it!!
The couple spent the rest of the night dancing like crazy, and having a blast with their friends and family. And two people like Erika and Killian truly deserved a wonderful wedding day!
I had an amazing time capturing you two and your gorgeousness! Remember that once you find your perfectly weird soul-mate, no matter what life throws at you, the future is going to be filled with endless love and fun.
