As I followed the signs for Bastyr University, where Nicole is finishing up her medical degree in only two short months (!!), I was blown away by the beauty. It is tucked by in St. Edwards Park in Kenmore, Washington, near to Lake Washington. It is wooded, with black tailed deer frolicking about and menacing all the botanist students by eating their plants. There is a turtle pond, fountain, garden, forest, and beautiful architecture. Basically, it put the schools I went to, to complete shame.  It sort of reminded me of Narnia. Needless to say, I was pretty excited to do their family session at this gorgeous spot!

Nicole and Ira are such a joy to be around.  They are easy going, calm, and fun, even when they are chasing around their very active (and very fast) son, Ira Jr. And as all toddlers are, Ira is attracted to ponds, giant shovels, and dirt. So he definitely kept me running around and hitting that shutter quickly to capture his adorable face! Luckily, we were able to distract him with an amazing bronze bell, some lovely flowers, and lots of kisses and tickles.

These three are expecting baby sister, Gracie, any day now! So this super mama is getting ready to graduate medical school, become a doctor, and give birth to her second child. No big deal. #lifegoals am I right?!

I can’t wait for adorable Gracie to join the family and to see Ira get to show Gracie all the fun things life is made of. Congrats you two! And we certainly were blessed to even get 30 minutes of no rain despite the looming cloud cover! Thanks for entrusting me with your family session!
